Yanara’s Sual Solar Power Project has been declared a winner in the Philippines’ fourth Green Energy Auction (GEA-4) – the country’s initiative to accelerate renewable energy deployment. Under the award, our 49.5 MWac solar project will supply clean electricity to the national grid under a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Philippine government.
The project will play a critical role in diversifying the energy mix, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and supporting the Philippines’ ambitious renewable energy goals. In addition to its environmental benefit, the project will also generate local employment during both construction and operations, stimulate long-term community investment, and bolster regional energy security.
“This is a meaningful step toward delivering reliable clean energy and fulfilling our commitment to being a force for good,” said Jerome Ortiz, CEO of Yanara. “It also reinforces our vision to power the region’s future with sustainable, forward-thinking energy solutions.”
This win follows key government endorsements, including the Certificate of Energy Project of National Significance from the Department of Energy and the Green Lane Certificate from the Board of Investments—recognitions that highlight the project’s national importance and help in expediting permits and approvals.
Through projects like this, Yanara continues to establish itself as a strong player in Asia Pacific’s renewable energy sector, delivering sustainable power solutions that fuel economic growth and national climate ambitions.
We are on our way to bringing this project to life, scheduling groundbreaking before year-end and targeting commercial operations by December 2026.
